A brief description on the history of Webbcon

Webbcon commenced business in April 2006 in a small building in Sloss street, Horsham, Victoria. The business started with Tim Webb as the only employee who began to make his mark in the field of sheet metal fabrication, both locally and across Australia. With the demand for increased output new premises had to be found. In march 2008, we moved to a much larger building situated at 72 Hamilton road, Horsham Victoria.

Tim soon became known for his quality manufacturing abilities in the fabrication of steel and aluminium toolboxes. Over the next year the range of products that Tim made increased with complexity and quality. It was not long before it was necessary to put on an employee to help keep up with the orders. By the end of the second year it was necessary to move to larger premises. By this time three employees had be hired and the range of items being manufactured had increased dramatically.

Products being made had expanded from steel and aluminium toolboxes to all types of cabinets, utility trays, large format trailers, utility canopies, trailer canopies, camper trailers, aluminium generator boxes etc etc. These products were being ordered by customers both locally as well accross Austalia with the assistance of the internet.

The success of the business has been mainly as a result Tim’s ability to custom make one off items that are exactly what the customer requires but were unable to purchase it anywhere else. Having said this, the business has succesfully completed many multiple light engineering jobs for a variety of customers.Webbcon now sells many types of automotive locks and latches, gas struts, hinges and fasteners. These items are available from the shop or over the internet via the online shopping cart.

Webbcon has a strategy of continuing to expand over the next few years and expects to be around for many years to come.
